The KEY to our FREEDOM is to excecute Aiyaz and Aziz

It is true that the "root cause" of our coups by a "tiny minority of ostensibly malefic persons" in Fiji was beyond my comprehension.

A notable blogger has repeatedly clarified in this quest to seek an answer that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" and that "Satan was the enemy and doing nothing was the shepherd" or something to that effect.

This was an acceptable answer for me and perhaps the majority of those like me, why, because we are Christian and understood this coming from a fellow Christian, well presumably, that it was just the fight of good over evil, but was this answer 'universally' acceptable?

Then it occurred to me. This is absolutely the same reason why Laisenia Qarase and Mahendra Chaudry or the International Community have been unable to identify a solution to tame this evil, even with the ostensible support of the majority of the population.

Why? No not because of guns. Because one is Christian and the other a Hindu who hate each other and have NO understanding of Islam. The same can be said of the Religious background of the majority of our freedom bloggers. What we do not understand, it is human nature to rubbish and focus on that which we do.

In fact one can draw from all religions and channel that knowledge to attaining happiness which of course is found within not without and is that which has been with us from the beginning and is attained at the end of desire.

However, if we continue to ignore this hidden power ruling in the shadows, the fate for any other leader that may emerge to replace these two in our country will be the same, that is just the way it is from the late Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara's era to Frankeinsteins now.

That is why we think that Frank is deranged (his St. Giles Records have been removed) , inhumane, bipolar etc. because we cannot fathom how someone can be so destructive and disrespectful of our indigenous identities and institutions, including our religious organizations.

The date of the purported abrogation of the 1997 Constitution says a lot, it is symbolic and was meant to be remembered by Christians.

Laisenia Qarase and Mahen lack a basic understanding of Frank Bainimarama's driving force, that is, the philosophy behind his throne, and hence when you do not know your enemy you will never defeat it.

If the Ganilaus' Nailatikaus' or the Maras' and the Security Council were in fact in charge, then why have we not heard a single murmur from these people, after all, the only ones that have spoken are the infamous Islamic five, that are linked to Alqaeda.

And how do I know who their leader is?, well for a start why dont you ask Dr. SahuKhan for his passport and see for yourself where he went to immediately prior to the 2006 coup, also look at the back of the passport to see how much money he took out of the country together with his 'mataqali' who went for their 'holiday' to Egypt.

Total outgoing funds was in the vicinity of FJ$175,000, yes I know you wondering how and what about RBF this and RBF that, well I thought we had addressed this issue, it really depends on who you are and the mula that you control, not necessarily physically possess and our underground economy in Fiji is too complex for Teletubbies Police, FIRCA, DPP, AG, RBF, FIU or anyone in "government" to understand, why, because they are not business people, they are all 'employees', people that have degrees hanging around their necks, with many initials after their names on their business card, pushing paper attending this and that workshop and symposium and think they know what is going on in the real world glorified in their self importance and official titles.

Also, if one were to believe the Peter Foster Chronicles that he spoke to Navitalai Naisoro who bragged about him being the man behind all in power, then the material questions omitted to be asked by Peter of Navi was Who is Behind You? Who is the Power behind your Throne Navi? Who devised all this scheming, conspiracy and treachery at your Prayer Breakfast, Power Lunches and Womanizing Dinners? The answer is found on the 8th floor of Dominion House.

Why do I bother talking about Tal-Qaeda? Well I hope to attempt an answer and consign it to the Lami dump because like my fellow freedom bloggers I like to talk about much more easier things, such as the state of our economy, or how our bush lawyers are doing with our Constitution, or how the arrival of Sir Paul Reeves in Fiji is akin to an Act and Scene of Cicero's return from exile in the tyranny of Julius Ceaser.

In this hunt for answers I stumbled across reflections of the brilliant life of Muhammad Iqbal, a poet, philosopher and lawyer (1877–1938), a common denominator of our shadowy figures, who was proud of his Islamic identity and desired to find the "root cause" of human suffering and in his first lecture in 1908, he asserted that out of all religious systems including Christianity, Islam took the most positive view of the human capacity to "transform" the world for the better.

As free, equal and responsible individuals, human beings are the makers of their own destiny and require no mediator between themselves and God. Islam rejects the Christian doctrines of redemption and the infallibility of the Church because these assume the "insufficiency of human personality" and create a dependency that Iqbal saw as "obstructing the ethical progress of man".

The ethical ideal of Islam in a nutshell is "a strong Will in a strong Body".Frank Bainimarama surely has a strong will in a strong body, the same can be said of all the Legal Advisors to Frank prior to and since the 2006 coup.

Ask yourselves, are there any Hindu or Christian Lawyers in Fiji that have the passion and drive to replace Aiyaz Kaiyum? I think not. When a person is driven by non-material metaphysical forces NO ONE will beat him/her. Ask yourself who put treacherous Anthony Gates to become our illegal CJ, and who was quick to justify the coup with a brilliant legal rhetoric?

The day that Frank Bainimarama replaces Aiyaz and Aziz and the Shameems and Sahu Khans and all others like them in the shadows, that is the day his 'empire' will collapse. This is the KEY to our FREEDOM.

So what is required to destroy Christianity and Hinduism or according to Iqbal "transform" Fiji for the better? The answer is simple, nothing, just the absence of the strength of Character and Physical prowess to protect our identity, our heritage and self respect.

Iqbal ascribed this to the visible absence of "life-force" due to the "decay of the religious spirit", which along with political causes beyond peoples control instils an abject sense of dependence.

The absence of a strong will in a strong body to lead us has led to our decay, which I think Wadan Narsey has outlined on RFN months earlier, due to our dependence on strong leaders, which as we speak, unfortunately can only be seen in Frank.

The Prophet of Islam had put it beautifully: "The whole of this earth is a mosque."

A state from the Islamic point of view was needed only to "realize the spiritual in human organization".

This is exactly what Teletubbies cult is meant to achieve, to realize the spiritual in human organization.
As the main working idea in Islam, tawhid translated into "equality, solidarity and freedom". It was incumbent upon the state "to endeavor to transform these ideal principles" into reality by constructing "a definite human organization" based on Islamic precepts. "It was in this alone", Iqbal claimed, "that the State in Islam is a theocracy."

This is the "radical change" that continues to come out of Franks mouth. Don't forget we can use the same words, but words mean different things to different people, depending on their vocation or philosophy. So although Frank may think he knows what they advise him to do, they come from a different paradigm, where the same word means different things.

Islam was against any form of government "headed by a representative of God on earth who can always screen his despotic will behind his supposed infallibility". This was what had pitted the Christian state against Islam and a solution had to be found by separating the political from the religious.

As is the case in Fiji that is why the Methodist Church of Fiji had to be separated from Politics and this is the root cause of the Church's persecution by Frank. If you look at it, Religion is always part of Politics, well at least in the Western World, who crowns a King or Queen? just look at the pieces on your Chess board, where is the Bishop in relation to the King and Queen?

In Islam there was no established church from which the state could separate. Moreover, "Islam was from the very beginning a civil society, having received from the Quran a set of simple legal principles which, like the twelve tables of the Romans, carried … great potentialities of expansion and development by interpretation"

By abolishing the caliphate in 1924, the Turkish Grand National Assembly had shown how the right to independent reasoning could be exercised in modern times. A republican form of government was wholly consistent with the spirit of Islam and an imperative of the time. Now ask yourselves which countries in the World have had coups? The overwhelming majority are Islamic, Africa and Fiji.

Though unsure about the ultimate fate of the nationalist ideal in the Muslim world, Iqbal was of the view that for now "every Muslim nation must sink into her own deeper self, temporarily focus her vision on herself alone, until all are strong and powerful to form a living family of republics".

Funny how SLR made our Fiji a Republic and Frank has sunk our Fiji into her own deeper self whilst caressing the others for Fiji to join our new 'family', no not the Commonwealth family, the Tal-Qaeda family of Republics.

SLR had the same chief shadow legal advisor still living today. I wouldn't be surprised that he is also the power behind the throne trying to revive the SVT in the shadows again. Have you ever thought of why the Indians that love soccer cannot get rid of MS Sahu Khan? It is because they are all Hindus, and have never understood his game plan, just like Chodo.

The idealist in Iqbal wanted to think that God was "slowly bringing home … the truth that Islam is neither Nationalism nor Imperialism but a League of Nations which recognizes artificial boundaries and racial distinctions for facility of reference only, and not for restricting the social horizon of its members".

What humanity needed, Iqbal contended, was a spiritual emancipation of the individual based on universal principles for the spiritual evolution of human society.

For Muslims, the "spiritual basis of life is a matter of conviction for which even the least enlightened man … can lay down his life". Given that the basic idea in Islam was that there would be no further revelation, Muslims "ought to be spiritually one of the most emancipated peoples on earth". But emerging from the "spiritual slavery" of pre-Islamic Arabia, the early Muslim community failed to appreciate the true significance of the idea of the finality of prophecy.

If contemporary Muslims were to grasp this point and reconstruct their social life according to the ethical principles outlined in the Qur'an, they might yet attain that "spiritual democracy" which is the ultimate aim of Islam.

Critics have scoffed at Iqbal's concept of a "spiritual democracy", describing it as "ornamental prose" aimed at awakening the spirit of struggle among Indian Muslims but devoid of any concrete guidelines on how to establish such a form of government (Ahmed 2002).

A poetic visionary, Iqbal was clearly more interested in changing hearts and minds than in detailing the nuts and bolts of a system of government where authority was to be exercised in the name of God rather than ordinary mortals. From the perspective of the history of ideas, the concept of a "spiritual democracy" represents the crystallization of Iqbal's views on human freedom and equality.

This is an identical trait of Frank, he is never interested in the nuts and bolts, he just wants to "radically change" our hearts and minds and "transform" our Fiji, whilst Teletubby exercises authority in the name of God. Don't forget there is only one God and Muhammad (peace be upon him) is his Prophet and according to Islam Jesus was also just a Prophet. So yes it is a "spiritual democracy" disguised as the "Jesus Strategy" tailored for Panama oops Fiji.

This is also why NATO will never win the war against Terror, like us, and apart from Barrack Hussein Obama, they have no understanding of Islam's plight to 'transform' the World and punish the 'Infidels'.

Folks we are living and breathing in a Theocracy, part of the 'family' of Republics, they just have not labeled it as such because the majority of us are either Christians, Hindus or Atheists.

Commonwealth is meeting with thieves in Fiji

Hector our correspondents on the ground says that
The commonwealth is an international body that champions democracy, but is meeting with the thieves that rob the people of their freedom right now and claim to be the government of the day, what a load of crepe.
That is pure double standards and discrimination on their part in meeting with the thieves. At this moment they are meeting with people that rape democracy in Fiji.

Growers Council dissolution case thrown out

this is navoha Says:

Hey guys read this …interesting reading, copy & paste from a blog site

Odds shortening for Bainimarama presidency
The chances of Frank Bainimarama becoming the next -President has increased with his comment over Radio Fiji that the regime's new Constitution will look at having the President as leader of the country.

Bainimarama told Radio Fiji on Sunday that apart from the parliamentary system and electoral reform, the people of Fiji will be asked whether they prefer the President or Prime Minister as the country's leader.

Coupfourpointfive has been told this is yet another indication that the coup leader has set his eyes on the presidency following the regime's decision to retire Tui Vuda Ratu Josefa Iloilo.

As President Bainimarama will become the nation's leader as well as the Commander in Chief of the military.

Growers Council dissolution case thrown out
Fiji Labour Party and National Famers Union leader Mahendra Chaudhry has suffered futher humiliation and rejection at the hands of the dictatorship regime which he helped establish on firm foundations.

Sources have confirmed that Chaudhry's son, Suva lawyer Rajendra Chaudhry tried to file a case before the High Court of Fiji in Suva last week to challenge the regime's decision to scrap the Sugar Cane Growers Council.

However the court documents were rejected by the High Court registry under the provisions of the Administration of Justice Decree promulgated under the regime's New Legal Order.

The Decree prohibits any citizen or organisation from challenging a decision of the regime.

Coupfourpointfive has been told the action of the High Court Registry is as far as Chaudhry is concerned, a case of getting a taste of his own medicine.

Chaudhry supported the overthrow of the SDL/FLP Multiparty Government of Laisenia Qarase and become Frank Bainimarama's interim Finance and Sugar Minister – a post that he held for 18 months.

On Chaudhry's recommendation the regime deferred the Growers Council elections scheduled for 2008 to 2010.

Chaudhry's recommendation was political as the National Farmers union had gained control of the Council afer the 2006 coup.

The Growers Council has been given three months to wind up its operations.

It's scrapping will leave cane farmer voiceless and with no legitimate represention.

Regime selling off prime State assets?
There are rumours that the dictatorship regime is trying to sell off State assets in a bid to raise quick money for its survival.

The rumours say the regime is negotiating with Arabian Gulf States like United Arab Emirates and Brunei and elite billionaires of these two nations for the sale of Nadi International Airport and the sea ports like Kings Wharf of Suva and Queens Wharf at Lautoka.

Sources say the un-explained trip of the regime's Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum to Brunei is fuelling these reports. Sayed-Khaiyum traveled to Brunei last week from Barbados. He is the closest advisor to military dictator Frank Bainimarama.

Nearly three years after the December 2006 coup, the regime has achieved negligible results in terms of securing fnancial handouts from Asian nations like China, Malasia and India.

The sale of Nadi Airport and the sea ports is being seen as an initiative of Sayed-Khaiyum to prop the regime and prolong its stay in power as both sales will bring several millions of dollars for the cash-strapped regime.

Nadi Airport is the gateway to the Pacific and the adverse consequences of the possible privatization of this prime asset is being deliberately ignored.

Sources say given the regime's inconsistency, the sale of these ports of entry is possible.

Hector say's delegation is wasting time

If he and his cronies are only meeting the commonwealth delegation, then the delegation is wasting its time going to Fiji.
A democratic society is ruled by the by for the people by people elected by the people.
What is all this crepe of getting rid of corruption when he and his cronies are corrupt. Remove the log from your eye so you can see corruption.
What you are doing now is corruption by denying the people the democratic right which is God given to choose what is good for them.
Not your personal agenda.

Sir Paul Reeves will meet Qarase and Chaudary

http://www.thecommonwealth.org/news/34580/34581/181101/010708fijiislands.htm
Looks like their policy of only allowing one side of the Fiji story to be told is proving to be very difficult to enforce indeed.

Maybe they should ask that Sir Paul Reeves and the entire Commonwealth Secretariat forget that this report even exists, too! They can chuck it aside along with all the reports of Forum Contact Group deliberations, and EU negotiations, and their own Commonwealth investigations.

After all, what are truthful investigations, arms length deliberations, commonsense assessments and principled stances in comparison to the material windfalls and conscience-and-mind-numbing benefits of IG sychophancy?

Why should Malaysia give away hundreds of millions of dollars to a dictator to pocket

puppeteer-opti
China is not filling any vacuum. IG talks about their so called look North Policy is crap. 3 years on and Jim Ah Koy's press releases on China coming to Fiji's rescue amounted to a big fat 0. Nothing coming forth from both China and India resulting in the IG's wild goose chase to Malaysia. Millions of dollars from Malaysia to the IG is the newest lie and here too nothing will materialize.

Why should Malaysia give away hundreds of millions of dollars to a dictator to pocket. Same reason India and China were no_shows. Interestingly observation is the IG forecasted millions to flow into Fiji without a word from their named donors. The only stupid and naive players in current climate are the IG beneficiaries and supporters.
Australia and NZ should stop using the people of Fiji as an excuse barring a full blown embargo. 100 % Sanctions do not hurt the people of Fiji. It hurts the IG. Speed up the process of bankrupting the country by applying full blown embargo on the IG if they can't trade they can't pay their bills. Pulling punches is appeasing the IG. The people of Fiji are resilient and it will be nice if both countries stop using the people as an excuse.
TT

Here weren’t any monies from China to the Vopig none from India either

     Frankopotamus-opti

Eggs have yet to hatch and already counting their chicks and notable is the silence from the donor in Malaysia :-) exactly the same scenario witnessed with the big talks concerning China and big time cassava planting for the Fijian people blah blah blah .. we are all still waiting my guess is we will wait 20 years for that Plant to be built. Now they say this Malaysia Co will build a Plant of sorts ?? This is the 2nd round of revelation on Plant buildings by this IG. 3 years on and still no Plant from China. No monies from China. No monies from India. What kinds of idiots believe the IG idiots.
Right thinking people do not hand over monies to dictators NEVER HAS HAPPENED in the history of this planet earth and will not start happening now.
TT

Cripple the IG is the goal.

Cripple the IG is the goal.

100 percent embargo will bend the knees of that tiny island nation's minute economy. Sugar is on its last leg. Tourism is 3rd stage cancer. After that there isn't much else.

100% embargo in nations that boast sizeble human resources with rich natural resources can take some time for the embargo's implementation to take effect

In tiny Fiji's case however, the IG will be scraping bottom of barrel in no time flat

APPLY 100 % EMBARGO AND TAKE THIS REGIME TO BENDED KNEES.

Stop using Fiji people as an excuse. They will be fine.
Tabusoro T

Spot on Mark Manning

I'm reading this article and trying, still, to understand what has and what continues, to motivate Government Soldiers to defy the Constitution of Fiji, their individual Oath under that same Constitution and the very people they are sworn to protect.
The only things I can think of are these ;-
1/ that the serving Military believe everything Frank Bainimarama has told them
or
2/ they need money to feed their families.

Sadly though, both reasons are misguided as Frank himself is breaking so many Laws as well as committing High Treason and Fijian Society is being destroyed along with it's culture, lifestyle and children's future prospects.

The question remains still, what else must happen before Fijians snap out of their slumber and stand up for what is rightfully theirs ?

Bainimarama said he doesn't understand figures!!!

The problem I see with Bainimarama, besides his inability to listen to qualified advise, is his blatant disrespect for figures, numbers, statistics ratios, numerical gauges that tell him proper information to act on.

The CMAG had given him a deadline of September 1st, he wrote a letter two weeks before that, to the Commonwelth Secretary General to inform him of his intent to comply with Commonweath rules and regulations, he lied.

To him the deadline of the 1st sept. did not mean a thing, just like the other figures that were served up to him as warnings and measuring instruments, telling him that the economy is in need of help. He even sacked our best economist in Mr. Narube, all because he gave him figures that were pleading for support.

Then he gave his worst indication, that he doesn’t understand figures when he corrected a reporter about our foreign reserve figures, proudly halving the numbers in front of the reporter, for the world to hear.

All forms of figures and numbers around him are telling him that all is not as he is saying, but he defies logic in the way he, sometimes sarcastically, gives a reason for them, only to find out later that, the reason did not carry weight.

We all remember the numbers 55, yes they had a reason behind them, only to be replaced with, “except if you are re-hired as cosultants or if you have needed qualificaions”

What about numbers that made the population cringe a few weeks ago, the upward hike of busfares/taxifares and electricity rates ? I won’t tell you the reason to that, because there is none forthcoming from the Regime to justify them, except the truth, they need money to supplement FNPF.

Now, there is also the MDG figures, that is set by countries worldwide for reduction of poverty by certain percentage before 2020, I don’t think he knows Fiji is part of that exercise, and at last count 40% the total population is living in those very conditions.

The only figure he carries around with him and his co-conspirators are 2 0 1 4. They will not give legitimate reasons for those figures except that that is when they think “the time is right”

An American reporter was quoted to have said, “I dont know why he (Voreqe) needs all that time to draw up a Constitution, we did not need all that time, and we were a bigger Nation”

He has a problem answering dichotomous questions, (questions that have only two answers,eg YES-NO, or MALE FEMALE) the chances bigger figures have to be understood by him is practically zero.

Budhau say's You need grassroots organization to remove this Dictator Bainimarama

Haven’t Graham Leung and Ratu Joni joined some blog site by now – like everyone else on the other side. If they haven’t, they should also be doing the right thing and start blogging – I better go check who all are there posting stuff on Raw Fiji crap.

Why can’t you buggers get it – that this regime will not be brought down by some sanctions and pressure from ANZ, the UN, the EU, Commonwealth, the Forum and rest. And just because you folks post some mean stuff about the regime in here – that does not mean you have done your share.

You want to figure know how how to stand up to a military dictator who has just pulled a coup – go see what those guys did after 1987 and 2000.

To bring down this regime, a whole bunch of you buggers have to put your asses on the line – it ain’t gonna be done by posting some anonymous messages.

You need grassroots organization – you need the trade uinions, the farmers unions, the merchant groups, the big industries organization like the Hotel Owners Association on your side. You religious groups other than the Methodist Church on you side. For that to happen, you need so good committed leadership – not this idiots who have their own agenda and a lot of baggage.

….look at the sorry arse leadership that we have – there is Qarase and his lot – who are more interested in getting some paid positions back, then there is the loser NFP crowed who think that Chaudary is their center of universe – guys like Pramod Rae and that Attar Singh, whom Qarase put in there as head of the Democracy movement, than there is your Dor Sami Naidu guy, president of the FLS – those lawyers should have known better than to elect a former president of the NFP as the head of Fiji Law society – politicizing the FLS especially at a time like this – A politically neutral Law Society would look much more credible making a stand against this regime….and than there is you Methodist Church group – these buggers were behind every coup we have ever had in Fiji except this last one, and now they are our savior – they are the ones who will help us get back democracy? Oh and we should not forget folks like Tui Savu, Victor Lal and the like – complete fricken mediocrity.

When are you guys going to realize that those folks mentioned above ain’t gonna give you your democracy back – you better start looking some place else for people who should be fighting for democracy – and a good place to look is the mirror.

The point here is not that the above mentioned folks are a bunch of losers – whats funny is that you buggers seemed to have accepted that these are the people who will get you your democracy back.

GOOD LUCK –

BTW – why don’t we just talk about the price of gas, or weather and such stuff in here rather than this crap that somehow we are here fighting for democracy and making a difference.

Fiji Methodist Church gaining greater support from churches internationally

Suppressed Methodist church in Fiji if receiving greater support from churches internationally, feeling "less alone".

The world's biggest ecumenical body - World Council of Churches (WCC) is the latest to come in support of the biggest Church in Fiji. The central committee meeting of WCC in Geneva from 26 September to 2 August had adopted a resolution giving full support to the plight of the Fiji's indigenous Church.

"We expresses deep concern at the actions taken by the interim government of Fiji against the Methodist Church in Fiji and Rotuma," stated the resolution.

The WCC also "urges the Methodist Church in Fiji and Rotuma to seek opportunity to engage in dialogue with the interim government."

After the elected Fiji government was overthrown by a bloodless military coup in December 2006, the Methodist Church of Fiji and Rotuma protested against the illegality of the interim government and refused to take part in processes initiated by it concerning the future of Fiji. Since May 2009, the interim government banned the church from holding its annual conference, its annual choir festival and also arrested and charged nine Methodist ministers.

The Methodist Church, the biggest and most influential church in Fiji is inseparably linked to Fijian culture and society; over 80 percent indigenous Fijians are members of the Church.

The all-powerful Fiji Methodist Church which counts 329,759 members out of a little less than a million Fijians estimated populations.

WCC is also calling upon member churches to pray for the nation and people of Fiji, that a peaceful return to democracy and the rule of law, and a vibrant and peaceful multiracial and multi-faith community, will emerge as soon as possible.

On Thursday, the Methodist Church in Britain also called on the Government of Fiji to allow the Methodist Church to exercise its right to freedom of religion and play its part in developing a healthy and just society for all people, Christian Today reported.

Steve Pearce, Partnership Coordinator for Asia and the Pacific, said: "Things are becoming increasingly difficult for the Methodist Church in Fiji and I think there are real grounds for believing not only that the military Government is slowly crippling the Church, but that it is doing so intentionally.

"The UK has a long-standing and fruitful relationship with Fiji and we are keen for it to continue. We are blessed to have many Fijian members in the Methodist Church in Britain and value their contribution to the life of our Church.

"Our prayer is that the beautiful islands of Fiji may soon see free and fair democracy, freedom of speech and independent justice."

The President of the Methodist Church of Fiji, Rev Ame Tugaue, the General Secretary, Rev Tuikilakila Waqairatu and seven other church leaders appeared in court on August 12 to enter a plea of 'not guilty' to charges of attending an unauthorised committee meeting. They have been ordered to report to the court again on September 24 and a trial is set for November.

Fiji's Methodist Church says it welcomes support from the World Council of Churches. Reverend Tevita Banivanua, deputy general secretary of the Fiji Methodist Church, says the WCC's resolution reminds them they are not alone.

"One of the basic things that anyone in our position would feel is that of loneliness, like in the wilderness of some type," he told Radio Australia on Friday.

"But when the World Council of Churches comes and shows its support for one, we are very grateful that there are people understanding our situation."

Commodore Frank Bainimarama heads an interim administration that, despite strong international objections, has since ruled out democratic elections before 2014.

Commodore Bainimarama says he plans to stamp out official corruption and enhance the rights of Fiji's ethnic Indian minority before elections can be held.

An intolerance of dissent and widespread censorship of the media have led critics to describe Fiji's military strongman as a dictator.

Fiji peace keepers keeping the peace abroad when it itself breaks the law at home!!!

That's a good piece by the Australian, EFT. Now they know where to hit where it hurts. We have been saying the very same thing over and over again that the UN needs to repatriate Fiji's peace keepers for the following reasons. One to demonstrate to the illegal regime which is run by the military that it cannot be accepted to keep the peace abroad when it itself breaks the law at home and secondly to hurt these same sods economically and to embarass them for being a pariah in the international community. For some sad reasons the UN has failed the people of Fiji miserably. Its time for them to make atonement and take action immediately and cancel all peace keeping contracts asap. The soldiers will only be restored to these duties when a legal civilian government is in power.
Another terrible news is the PER has been extended for another month. This of course has been expected since they are enjoying this enforced gagging of the people's freedom of expression. What is sad though is that it has passed without a murmur and any form of protestation from anyone. Whilst it may be expected from the mainstream media in Fiji it should raise alarm in the informal ones and overeas press. Every month our rights are being deprived and it seems to be a deliberate attempt by the military regime each time to add insult to injury by putting it to our face at regular intervals.
Peacepipe

Voreqe will use all his powers not to lose face.

Well, this hasn't come as a surprise. Steven Ratuva is spot on by pointing out that the people are the victims. I have always feared since last year these events were inevitable considering Voreqe will use all his powers not to lose face. He will keep trying to prove he is right. He has tested the international bodies and this is the consequences. He is basically thinking ahead and realise the embarassment and failure he cannot afford to lose. As a fijian, he will always try to impress but will lack the strategies of coping with the problems associated with it. Yes, it is ego. Yes it is power. But above all it is about keeping a straight face, using and exhausting every avenues thinking he is right.
He is thinking right now what choice does he have following the exclusions? Unfortunately, he will declare himself President then Fiji will be a under full blown dictatorship. Think Uganda, Zimbabwe as egs.
The people will suffer. In fact people already suffering. And we can all talk and talk about the sufferings. Or maybe we wait until we start begging for Aids (charities). THATS NOT FIJI. It will happen unless democracy takes over.
Under dictorship, we are basically slaves. What do we do about it? Ok, there is fear amongst people. We have to be strong and proactive. We have got international sanctions and support will come if we do something. Hopefully our intolerrance will get the better of us.
So, only god will guide us to the truth and righteousness and help us do what is right for the future of the people of fiji.
GOD HELP FIJI>

Put your guns aside and let’s see how much of men you both really are

Roko has this to say to leweni bainimarama, Well I don't know whose worst at their imbecility the frickin dumb f**k groged up face Leweni or the stuttering fool Bai.
One thing for certain they are both spineless cowards, here is a challenge for these two lowlife inbred mongrels put your guns aside and let's see how much of men you both really are.
Whats the bet you both sit and take a leak faggorts.

Frank, the deranged man of the Pacific

Fiji Village quotes mouthpiece Lewensky saying the final decision whether Sir Paul Reeves is allowed to meet with Qarase and Chaudary is up to Frank. Well it reveals just how gutless Frank truely is. Having all the guns in Fiji is still not reassuring for him because he cannot face Qarase and Chaudary. You see his fear is from within and no matter how many guns without, it still is not enough!
Now he wants to prevent Sir Paul from meeting with them as well. Frank, don't talk the talk, if you cannot walk your talk! Why are you so afraid of insignificant Qarase and Mahendra Robin Hood Chaudary meeting with Sir Paul Reeves? Do you have something to hide?
Frank is paranoid and greatly fears anyone standing up to him because of this post traumatic disorder and any meeting, especially with a notable like Sir Paul in his deluded mind spells conspiracy. Qarase's words after his Wellington Talks with Frank in December 2006 as he tried to diffuse the political standoff still holds true today when he said: 'how can you talk with a deranged man.'
Tui Savu.
President.

Keep showing us your immaturity Bai

It seems that they are already laying down the conditions of this talk. I wonder where the slogan "inclusive, unconditional….etc, etc of the Commonwealth will fit in with cranky Franky's restrictions!!! Let's wait and see….will he kick up a fuss like a child that he is when Reeves will request a meeting of all stakeholders including political party leaders??? Keep showing us your immaturity Bai because you are the laughing stock of the whole wide world……na ulu lala ga, na ulu lala…can't blame, mata ni ta boka!!!!

How long has Lau been without a Tui Nayau?

Voreqe's inclusiveness always has a hitch: "Except those who disagree with me". After all, they might speak out against me and then how would we get consensus?

You see, Frank, consensus does not work in the modern world, particularly with a multicultural and multi-vanua nation, and the solution is not to get out your guns and conquer all. The solution is an election, and the minority have their say, but in the end have to compromise or give way. How long has Fiji been without a Vunivalu? How long has Lau been without a Tui Nayau? You see consensus does not work in modern society where you have educated and independent minds.
Election and parliamentary voting works to resolve these differences, as long as you don't have uneducated goons with guns to overthrow whatever decision is made. In the end, if the chiefly system is to survive, it will also have to be governed by an election. Without the GCC, no President can be elected. Without Parliament and an election, no laws can be elected and no Prime Minister can be elected and Fiji is doomed to be run by anyone who dares abuse the power of the military, regardless of what they know or do not know about nation building.
