THE REAL CORRUPTION FIGHTER SAY'S

There are two things about this government that make it so ineffective.

One the government is illegal, which means that investors and the international community are wary of any dealings with it.

And secondly, this government is incompetent. They're wrecking the sugar industry because they just don't understand what needs to be done to fix the problems. If they did understand, they'd put acceptance of the ED aid money at the top of their priorities.

Bainimarama probably thinks civil servants are incompetent if they tell him they need the EU money to make the changes needed for sugar to survive.

And if he thinks he needs competent civil servants, why did he sack Savenaca Narube and appoint Sada Reddy in his place. Reddy's a joke who makes the business community very nervous.

This is surely an opportunity for the Mara and Gainnilae boys to redeem themselves

So what we might be seeing here then is, PNG, by buying up Colonial State Bank, inadvertently shoring up Fiji's reserves ?
It really is like a game of Chess and you can't really blame PNG, after all, they probably bought it half price as the Junta becomes more and more desperate to try to find money to pay their boce troops !
So what's next on their list ?
Let's see, we have a few islands that we could sell to China, India or the highest bidder !
And as Fiji slowly sinks in the Pacific, will the good, honourable and honest people of Fiji continue to sit on their hands ?
This is surely an opportunity for the Mara and Gainnilae boys to redeem themselves by arresting Frank and Co. and returning the Government before things get any worse.

Newbloodfor Fiji say's

What an irony indeed for Ateca Mara, wife of unelected Minister of Defence in an unelected Interim Government belonging to the “unelected Bainimarama” in her own words!

But what do you expect from an unintelligent person? What do you expect from someone who may not have written her own speech, let alone, check the contents of the speech of so? That is obviously beyond the Mara siblings – Ateca and her other Mara siblings! What an irony that one of her siblings – Tevita Ului Mara – is working faithfully under the “unelected Interim Prime Minister Bainimarama”!

What an irony that her other sibling – Koila Mara – is wife to yet another unelected Vice President – Epeli Nailatikau!

What a real shame and complete show of utter intelligence and irony that Ateca should be game enough to display her own deteriorated moral, ethic, professionalism, or intelligency, if any all in this event!

And we Fijians continue to condone the status of our Fiji today by not challenging status quo – the rape of our political leadership and our Fijian chiefly system!

As previously commented, the irony of Fiji Independence Day – Fiji has never departed from the British colonial rule! We have never departed from the Westminister Abbey administration design. We have never questioned the legality of the work done by the late Ratu Sukuna. He together with the British colonisers are clearly ruling and reigning today. The legality of the VKB (vola-ni-kawa-bula) has never been questioned. Is there evidence of each tribal leader then when the vei-tarogi-vanua was held given the opportunity to sign the information collected legally and witnesses? Was there an opportunity for the information to be challenged? Then if this was the case, the VKB and the Native Land Trust Board is the rape of the chiefly system and the indigenous land rights from the indigenous Fijians! Ratu Mara continued this legacy and never challenged the status quo! Rabuka came in and went and never challenged the status quo! Bainimarama came in and went and never challenged the status quo! Our own very so called chiefs have sold our indigenous rights of the land and our system! What are graduate lawyers today doing about this? NOTHING! But what do you expect of the very British legal system that our lawyers are trained in? They have been blinded to this fact and do not want to upset the status quo – the very status quo that is to the disadvantage of the taukei indigenous very own rights!

Frank Bainimarama’s military government cheque dishonored

We can confirm that Frank’s military government cheque has been dishonored with insufficient funds in the account to cover the cheque amount paid out to a pro-coup beneficiary, LOTUS Garments.

This information is said to have been leaked by team Padam Lala themselves, owners of LOTUS Garments, after their repeated efforts to get repaid for the bounced cheque was unsuccessful.

Sources report that the dishonored amount is around $1.5million.

To fijiman from Tuks

Fiji Man..suggest you go to  Raw Fiji News and read for yourself this article about corruption and Nepotism in the Fiji military. As suggested, please have a good look at the names mentioned there, see their current positions in the illegal Regime headed by your VB and if you can, just for a moment , be honest with yourself and look at the real corrupted people as you refer to in your comments above. It is clear that all the allegations of corruptions against Qarase, Tuisolia and others are being cooked up by the Regime itself in their quest to justify their 2006 takeover of a democratically elected Government. For all the information and control they have, it is amazed that even Voreqe still can not put any of the alleged accused behind bars after 3 years of illegally taking over Government. From what we now have, I tell you that it will only be weeks b4 Voreqe and his coyots are imprisoned for the rots that is being spewed out from their current corrupt practises.
Please make sure you read this interesting article in the Raw Fiji News website. You can not miss it.

you will all fall & will one day face justice

@ Fiji Man who is supporting the Junta

We do understand the reason for the coup & these reasons are becoming
increasingly clear with each passing day.

The only reason FB was allowed to speak at the UN was that the US was obligated by the UN charter and couldn't deny him entry.

Judging by your calculations say you had a hand in formulating FB payout? Sami x 2 + Anon = 3.

Rest assured FM – your days of deceit & rorting this once proud nation are numbered – 'you will all fall & will one day face justice' – your continuing incompetence guarantee's it.

Mohamed Aziz say's" the best countries in the world are those where religion is dying"!!!

@ Fiji Man -> There is something problematic with many people living in this country: religion simply destroys their capacity to think. It is about time that you renounce to your backward superstitions!

Fiji is in the middle of a little plate while Samoa, Tonga and Vanuatu are on the borders of big ones. That's THE explanation.

By the way, the best countries in the world are those where religion is dying. Check the facts for yourself!

My experience suggests that corruption is a normal characteristic of "primitive" human societies – especially tribal societies – and I met a lot of grassroot people ready to use the name of their own mother under false pretense to get money… this is not something that a politician or military commander can change overnight.

Learning the hard way can be frustrating, but history will show that

UN TO CONTINUE THE DOWNSIZING OF FIJIAN FORCES!

Way back then when Bainimarama gave himself (stole) that $180.000
in back pay he also extended to a select core of officers this same privilege. They were warned that if they accepted this money they could face charges sometime down the track – an enquiry that would pretty well scuttle both their military careers & record – this could partly explain their inability & reluctance too move against him. It will come though – only a matter a time – still a lot of pride within FMF ranks – continuing boycott by the UN & other military forces (exchange programs) plus Bainimarama's increasing inability to run a civilian goverment will eventually sway any fence sitters. Another point worth remembering is that within Army ranks Bainimarama has always been considered an outsider (navy).

Bloger Sami Naidu say's that Bainimarma has a huge chunk of Fijis tax dollar stacked away in India!!!

How come everyone in the Military seems to be ok with whatever he is doing? Are they all scared of him? Or afraid of their job? Do you think that a possible underground internal move to oust him may be taking place? I read somewhere that Bai has properties in India is this true? Cause if he has property in India, then he must have a huge chunk of Fiji Tax Payers money, stacked away in foreign back accounts as well? Hey, Soli could you please look into this as well?
