The Vunivalu Epeli Mataitini’s childish claims the Church has been playing politics with the Vanua of Rewa is a lot of crap. Ro Temumu knew what she was doing when signing that Open Letter. She signed this Open Letter because she believed its contents and she does not recognise Bainimarama’s illegal claim to rule. He is the one who raped Fiji of democracy and whom Epeli Mataitini is kowtowing to because he’s paying his bills.
How can Epeli Mataitini tell the Vanua of Rewa and the Matanitu of Burebasaga to follow Bainimarama’s orders, when the majority of right thinking Rewans and Burebasagans do not recognise Bainimarama’s illegal reign!
It is sad to see the Roko Tui Dreketi’s Vunivalu run away in fear, when the Marama Bale na Roko Tui Dreketi shows moral courage by standing up to the Military goons and standing up for truth and justice!
The people of Rewa should look for a more suitable Vunivalu because Epeli Mataitini has just proved how unworthy he truly is and how low he is willing to go, even to the extent to betray (liu muri) and sell off his own Paramount Chief and then have the cheek to try to deflect the blame to the Methodist Church.
Epeli Mataitini knew the Police would come for the Marama Bale na Roko Tui Dreketi and he gave them his blessing and advised them to come under the cover of darkness, hoping to hide his tracks, but it reeks of him.
SWM Management Board urges the people of Rewa and Burebasaga to stand by your Marama Bale na Roko Tui Dreketi during this turbulent time and get rid of your spineless, worthless, traitor Vunivalu, Epeli Mataitini.
