It now seems Ratu Sakuna’s “dream” for his people in their land is going to be revolutionzed by the children of the very man that he groomed to pursue his dream. How ironic?
I think the Methodist church is our last hope, the church that supported Rabuka. I wonder if Ratu Mara was alive today would the catholic church be supporting these idiots????

FRANKS GRANDMOTHER ON HIS MOTHERS SIDE WAS A PICKERING A CONVICTED CRIMINAL
Australian. Additional “al” needed, unless you use the more colloquial “Stryne” as in the language they speak.
Franks grandmother on his mother’s side was a Pickering. The immigrant ancestor Pickering came to Fiji from criminal country in the early 1800’s, making them one of the oldest part-European families.
The first Pickering to Fiji was Charles Pickering, son of Charles Pickering (England) and Catherine Burn (Dublin, both convicts transported to Sydney in 1807 & 1809 respectively. He was born in 1814 in Twofold Bay (Eden) on the far south coast of NSW. A whaling community. His parents were married in 1818 in Newcastle, the same year his sister Mary Ann was born. Charles Snr was convicted at the Norwich Assizes in 1806.
In 1827 young Charles was charged and convicted with perjury in Sydney town when he gave evidence in support of a claim his father made in relation to monies supposedly paid to a Mrs Clarckson.
“Pickering, who was only 15, was ordered to be transported for two years, with a recommendation that he be kept apart from those who might confirm him in vice and that he be taught a useful trade: Sydney Gazette, 7 July 1829; Australia, 8 July 1829.” from the trial. See link below for trial transcript:

I haven’t found where he served his ‘transportation’. It could have been any of the various penal settlements in the colony. He next turns up in the records when he marries in Rewa, Fiji in early 1830’s.
Here is some more information about the Rounds family of Fiji, who married with Pickerings way back.
http://roundsfiji.tribalpages.com/
Interesting that the original criminal Pickering settled and married in Lomanikoro, Rewa, exactly the place bad boy Frank is trying to stop from holding a Methodist conference and even arrested their chief Ro Teimumu Kepa.
So the Pickerings were criminals sent to Australia and then one of the offspring came to Fiji to escape the law when he killed his little brother while playing.
It is obvious where bad boy Frank gets his genes from. From his historic perspective Fijans are just People for screwing. What else has changed?

FRANK IS MERELY A HANDYMAN
My take on this. Frank is merely the handiman. The real people who took advantage of the other people’s selfishness and racism to rally behind the coup, are Fiji’s “first family” – Mara & Co. They may have others working for them. But they are responsible for the current power snatiching. The office of President is too important and office for the power people to be given away.
They will give it to one of theirs. Most probably Nailatikau. No matter what they say he will be next President. He will also be the commander in chief of the military forces. The will hold power from that vantage point. From there they will usurp the title of Vunivalu in Bau to access the Fijian Power base. They will completely overhaul the traditional vanua hierachy and put in position their “chiefs” and supporters by re-writing the VKB.
At the end of which they will create their own GCC and complete the control of that power base. Ganulau of course will be a paramaount chief at that time. The military power base & police ofcourse will be under teir control through their people. Civil service will be completely militarised at strategic positions. The other centres of control (power) will be provided by the Indians & others.
Frank, well frank can continue in his position, return to the barracks or run a business with his boy jon prasad, it doesnt really matter. These guys will be in total control.. if the methodists let go and Fijians allow them to carry on.

the question is which corrupt thief is going to be PM
The question is which corrupt thief is going to be:
PM
President
Vice President
Minister for Fijian Affair
I include the last because he is the “gatekeeper” helping the others to sell out the Fijian race, steal their retirement funds, investments, land rents, jobs, and ultimately the LAND ITSELF.
Nothing is beyond these corrupt leaders and their Indian bribists. There is far more than 30 pieces of silver at stake with these Judas’s but I hope they all end up hanging from a tree like their namesake Judas.

NATION OF FIJI EASY MARK FOR THIEVES
Sgdevreal Says: eems that the Nation of Fiji is an easy mark for thieves.Armed military thieves against unarmed civilians.Something like a bank with no security guard.
Just walk in and help yourself. Dont even need weapons anymore because to of the intimidation and implicit threat. The thug PM gets bolder by the day, openly selling his favours and loot to Indian bribists. Keep on exposing him SV!

No surprise that Frank is going after everything he thinks holds money. Never mind it does not belong to him. He is dictator and can exppropriate it. Siwatibau came under similar pressures from Rabuka and resigned. You see Frank is a real kai colo who does not understand that money has an owner, and it is not just for the dictator. And of course he and his apologists tried to blame Narube for attending coctail parties and letting the reserves run down, but in fact the outflow of reserves was a direct consequence of Frank’s ill conceived plans to encourage foreign investment in a place which will never attract investment as long as there is a military on the wrong side of the law.No surprises, look at all the funds Frank has gone after for his thefts. FHL, RBF, FNPF. Without these funds, he is just back to making money off the misery of the People, through high inflation reported by the liars to be around 9% this year which after you adjust for the lie factor is probably 18%. Now is apologist in the RBF is forecasting 2% inflation next year. Has Fiji ever had such a low rate of inflation? How ridiculous. Fiji’s dollar will continue to depreciate or be devalued and this will have an impoct on inflation and poverty
Mark Manning Says:
I’m very concerned at Frank’s remarks on the recent Dateline program whereby he stated that land reforms were on his agenda !No one seems to have understood what that might mean and I’m wondering myself !Does Frank mean that he is going to change the landownership laws in Fiji to suit himself ?Will he be able to do that, given that he hasn’t been challenged on any of his other antics ?What will it take for Fijians to react decisively and will it be too late by then ?
Frank the Knife going pot.
It has now come to light that the former Governor of the Reservre Bank Savenaca Narube was sacked for refusing to release Fiji's foreign reserve's to facilitate the ill fated Sereana Qoro BP Pacific Ltd/ Fijian Holdings Ltd failed takeover deal.A spurned Colonel Aziz Mohamed the FHL Board member, was told point blank by Narubeto seek a commercial bank bridging loan instead. This got Aziz's nickers in a twist and the over promoted military legal squrriel scurried away to inform Frank who knifed Narube, a true son of Fiji who has held the keys to our coffers on a tight grip since 2000.Yes, folks now that the $190million deal has fallen through, We salute Mr Narube. We have been also informed that should our Banana republic's economy don't start bending upwards- then good old Navosa Gold Marujuana is the answer. Frank on his recent trip to Guyana South America has teamed up with drug catels to explore legalizing pot to take over from our sugar industry. No, folks, not at all far out! given our present screwed up situation! So much so for PACER people!Move over PNG Garoka gold!here comes Navoha gold export premium quality! Na Ohe

Psychoanalysis of Frank
Psychoanalysis of Frank says he is a pathological control freak (authoritarian). This being the case, it would not make sense for him to appoint anyone else as President other than himself, especially since the other candidates all have the vanua aristocracy edge on him (he is a kaisi with no significant lineage).
First of all, he would like to stick it to the chiefs, church, and anyone else who questions his authority. Without a rubber stamp empty carcass president to push around, what would he do? How would he justify unilateral decrees from little ole blustering foot-in-mouth bad boy Frank?
Most Fijians perceive that the President is higher than the PM, even though this is questionable under the 97 Constitution. In any case, the President controls the appointment of the Commander of the RFMF, even according to the dumped Constitution.
Can you imagine Koila taking orders from Frank or watching while Her groper takes orders. No, Koila must take over her father’s shoes, and she probably cannot wait to get rid of the Kiuva city boy upstart goon who forced her Father out of the Presidency, a situation which she says caused his and her Mother’s death. So Frank has no choice but th take over the Presidency, and also carry on with his campaign to stick it to anyone who had success in life, whether from hard work, intelligence, lineage, or whatever, all the things Fanko does not have and apes for himself.
So as President, Franko brings in his mercenary Indians because he does not trust any Fijian. He makes the various Mara’s, Ganilaus, and Ro’s from Rewa grovel (or tries to) in order to elevate his authority and opinion of himself. Now who is going to run the nation? He has already kicked out all the good guys. Now what?
Now if he keeps on “not running the country” how long will it take for his troops to become disgruntled, if they are not already from the imposition of the “Oqo Nei Atu” religion, a “crack” pot religion requiring a certain orientation preferred by the non-adventurous chauvanistic types.Doesn’t this bizarre state of affairs provide some light at the end of the tunnel (not Frank’s tunnel)?Would Koila by any chance just tell Franko to get lost? I mean they have at least three army leaders in the family. Who needs Franko? Frank has proved himself to be less maleable than the Tall Man thought, and it is time for time out.The suspense has reached a new level.

Ganilau Waiting in the Wings
Apart from Frank and Nailatikau the other contender in the illegal power troika waiting in the wings dreaming of ascending the steps to government house is Epeli Ganilau- the $50 man. Well folks news just to hand of more illegal dealings Frank, Ganilau and the NLTB have been up to in trying to win hearts and minds.
In the Fiji Times of Saturday 03 January 2009 it was reported “Meanwhile,Ratu Epeli Ganilau on behalf of the interim regime has given Lamini (Somosomo Taveuni) landowners $100,000 to start the island's first-ever mini hydro project to provide electricity to hundreds of families.Ratu Epeli handed the cheque to Tui Somosomo Viliame Mudu on Tuesday”. Little did the people of Lamini know this was money mis- appropriated from the Tui Cakau’s matagali lease money held with NLTB!
It has now been revealed that the $100, 000 was ‘authorized’ by Frank from the Tui Cakau matagali lease money held at the NLTB of which its head the Tui Cakau Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu was unaware of. This dirty deal was leaked to Ratu Naiqama a former SDL Lands Minister and manager of NLTB. There were a few sackings of poor low employee scapegoats in the last months at NLTB because of this theft.
Members of the matagali Valelevu of Tui Cakau have been complaining of a huge reduction in lease money allocation per matagali member this year.Well folks you now know ,it all went to try and garner support from the Lamini and Somosomo villagers away from their rightful chief and Tui Cakau Ratu Naiqama. The crooks are all one step away from Government House- but the Methodists are watching and waiting, 40 days! –Beware the Ides of Augustus. “Full Choke” PM soon to be President
Yes, Folks, our illegal Prime Minister soon to be installed the illegal illegal (that’s right twice) President is not new to the “Full Choke” method of the old snooker gang of Marks Street. A true extortionist to boot.
News to hand from QEB is that on the day after the abrogation of the Constitution by Moce Jo! Frank and his bodyguards paid a long visit to RB Patel Centre point Nabua from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm the whole day. Obviously they were not part of the days stock take tallying folks, but doing a Full Choke for a cool $10,000-00. After Frank and Co left with their Choke money the Patel brothers could not stop laughing, he he! What’s new folks, these so called cleanup coup cons, they all have their snouts in the trough with the Gugi’s!
Also to hand the Choke for Immigration PR visa return is rife with the top brass of the regime. An Australian businessman who was threatened with deportation because his visa was not in order was going to blow the whistle on Frank and Teleni and the bribe he gave them to secure his visa. He wanted Frank and Teleni to pay back the bribe money or else he would report the dirty deal to ABCTV. The man was released instantly by immigration officials through Major Vuniwaqa the Director Immigration.
Yes people we are watching, the Methodists are watching -40 day! Beware the Ides of Augustus

Swipe at Colonel Aziz Mohammed and Keshwan
i agree with insaafi (a blogger) … freddie keshwan (Merchant Bank CEO on a $400,00 per annum salary package) is an unqualified egotistical idiot that is overpaid beyond what is justifiable in this country ….
look at how he will run down merchant finance company together with his chairman, mohammed aziz …
sources say that aziz has been milking it well through his appointments at fijian holdings and merchant finance ….
even his bodyguard is sent on shopping sprees fully paid by fijian holdings limited ….
imagine that?
question for aziz – is it your father’s company?
it is time that indigenous fijian shareholders in the fijian holdings group open their eyes and smell the coffee …
ask for that corporate governance report to be made public ….

Presidency- one step away for Frank
Now that Ratu Iloilo is gone- Moce Jo! Well at least he will be spared the butt of numerous un-chiefly jokes and snide remarks around the tanoa. What is the likely cause for the President’s retirement? Ultimately it’s all to do with power for Frank the dictator and his final lunge to install himself into the Presidency as the supreme ruler of Fiji. Yes, He tasted absolute power for a month in May-July 2000, and again in December -Jan 2006 and yet again in April of 2009 and was totally high on it (and still is). With the 1997 constitution now gone and CJ Gates the homo in his back pocket (so to speak), Frank’s Military and President for life dream is at hand. Yes, the President and Tui Viti from Kiuva. What Ratu Seru Cakobau and Ratu Kamisese Mara could not achieve Ratu Voreqe from Kiuva is on the verge of! Now how does that grab you? No, not Epeli Nailatikau the Tongan as President for that would be political suicide for Frank trying to court the already disgusted Fijians. All it will take now is to keep the soldiers and policemen-his main supporters happy. The soldiers only want their ration allowances re-stored and the policemen their 12% pay increase as long promised and everything will be oh so sweet. Unfortunately the coffers are drained therefore FNPF needs to be syphoned slowly but surely to keep government going. The yellow ribbon programme had conned the public into a false sense of prisoner rehabilitation and the police Christian crusade were all charades of police community work to shore up his power base unbeknown to the poor and gullible public. The Methodist Church will put a stop to Frank and his satanic forces in 40 days . Beware the Ides of Augustus. Palace Diary

THE NEW ORDER FROM ATU VULAONO(NEW METHODIST CHURCH)
Pastor Atu Vulaono founder of the new methodist church in Fiji and brother to the police commish Tele Tuby has layed down strict rules that married couples should follow when making love, woman should not be allowed to be on top.
Does this mean that only the standard missionary position will be allowed in love making, as prescribed by Atu and his dear wife?I believe the woman is not allowed to be on top, and the police will be there to make sure...that is why Atu's brother police commish Esala Teleni who according to some Fijian police officers is an idiot is on a police cruisade mission all over Fiji preaching to criminals instead of arresting them.
Picture above of Seru Toga who told the police cruisade team persistantly on Saturday night outside Suva night club Oreilly's that he prefers to be arrested, from then on the Fiji police cruisade team jumped him and bassed him in front of hundreds of patron because he does not want to join the new Methodist church religion.
Bainimarama will officially sacked the President Iloilo from the end of this month because his excellency refuse to recognise the new methodist church to be the new official religion in Fiji watchout you muslims and hindus in Fiji majority of you supported this coup...there will be no more Ganesha inside the house and that including you Punja...

ILOILO REFUSE TO SIGN DECLARATION STATING NEW METHODIST TO BE OFFICIAL RELIGION
Rumor has it that Ratu Iloilo DID NOT want to sign a declaration (Decree?) stating that the New Methodist to be the ONLY state approved religion for Fiji. Every other religion to be declared illegal ! TOO LATE THE HERO for our ex-presidante.
Sounds incredible ? We’re living in the end of times. Beware that you do not compromise your belief or you may find yourself excluded from the Book of Life.
Do not fear men, ONLY fear GOD !

The line in the sand has been drawn !The question is really for Frank, not the Methodist Church as such. Will he be stupid or brave enough to cross it ?The Methodist Conference was about religious faith, but thanks to Frank’s meddling into Church matters and muddying the waters in regards to the separation of Church and State as in the separation of powers, he has now drawn himself into direct conflict with not only the Methodist congregation, the indigenous Fijians, but with everyone and anyone, including the Paramount Chiefs. So, the very thing he was trying to avoid, he has himself, created !I sincerely hope and pray that the Conference goes ahead, as it must now !
Anthony Gates to appoint new illegal president, says Bainimarama
Fiji’s interim prime minister has announced that the appointment of a new president will be made by the Chief Justice, rather than the Great Council of Chiefs.
Commodore Frank Bainimarama told a press conference yesterday that the country’s president, Ratu Josefa Iloilo, will retire at the end of next month.
Our correspondent, Matelita Ragogo reports.
“Cabinet will forward a name to the chief justice, Anthony Gates, who was also appointed by the regime, he will then make a nomination for the new president. In the meantime, the recently appointed vice president, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, will act as president until a new appointment has been made. This is not normal, because the president and the vice president are usually appointed by the Great Council of Chiefs; so this is not what would have happened in normal times.”

In the meantime, the recently appointed vice president, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, will act as president until a new appointment has been made. This is not normal, because the president and the vice president are usually appointed by the Great Council of Chiefs; so this is not what would have happened in normal times.”
AIBD head says Fiji’s return to democracy is a long journey
The head of the Asia Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development, the AIDB, says the return to democracy in Fiji is a long-term journey.
Javad Mottaghi, who is at the Pacific Media Summit in Vanuatu, says his organisation is a non-political body that encourages dialogue and whose ethics won’t interfere in the affairs of member countries.
Last week, Mr Mottaghi was at the annual AIDB conference organised by the interim regime in Fiji, which ousted its elected government nearly three years ago.
Mr Mottaghi says there is no single way to establish democracy that anyone outside can prescribe.
“Look there is a prescription: you have three pills, eat one after breakfast, one after lunch and one after dinner and then you will go to democracy. The journey to democracy is a long-term journey.”

Academic says Fiji’s Presidency is merely an extension of the military regime
An academic specialising on Fiji issues says the announcement that Fiji’s President will step down further reflects how the Presidency is now merely an extension of the interim regime.
Ratu Josefa Iloilo is to retire at the end of next month, and a new president will be appointed by the chief justice upon the recommendation of the Cabinet.
Vice President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, who was the indigenous affairs minister, and a former military commander, will be acting in the position until a new president is sworn in.
This comes just days after the President’s Private Secretary Rupeni Nacewa retired.
Jonathan Fraenkel of the Australia National University, says the departure of these men represents a broader changing of the guards around the presidency, even though the President has been seen as a puppet for the interim regime.
“Of course the President’s office have great significance under the 1997 Constitution but now that has been abrogated, the regime is making it up as they go along. Its not bound by any particular Constitutional order, so the office of the President plays whatever role they deem fit.”

Telecom Fiji Limited rut – Part 1
In February, 2009, Telecom Fiji Limited commissioned a company called VK Rattan Digging Works in Rakiraki to carry out road works at Koro’O and South Ridge station.
Defying company regulation, the contract was awarded to V K Rattan without any tender and as such there was no other quotations obtained except for the one from VK Rattan with a quote amounting to $197,530.
But the TFL “Release of Funds for Capital Expenditure” form we obtained, signed by TFL executives Samuela Vadei and its Sri Lankan CFO, Kapila Chandrasekera, was much more than the $197,530 quoted by VK Rattan.
Funds approved by the duo and paid out was $270,734, which is $73,204 more than the initial quote.
So where did that $73,204 go? Or should we say – whose pocket did the $73,204 end up in.
Let’s allow $15,000 for contingency, but the question that should be asked is, why should a contractor be paid extra when TFL could have easily fixed the project price at the quoted amount given by VK Rattans of $197,530 and anything above that should be borne by the contractor?
Anyway, after allowing for $15,000 contingency, what happened to the remaining $58,204?
According to documents we have, TFL management signed it off as “Materials to be purchased”. So which materials were actually purchased for the road works, who purchased it and who supplied it, were relevant receipts obtained from the suppliers to justify the purchase or was the materials to be purchased a lie?
We’ve obtained quotes from other professional service providers like VK Rattan and according to them, they all agreed that the works carried out by VK Rattan would be around $35,000 – $45,000 max.
They were shocked when we told them the $270,734 bill paid by TFL.
“Someone is getting rich very fast from this deal,” said one of them.
“The swines, this is daylight robbery,” said the other.

Iloilo failed Fiji and her people
An academic specialising on Fiji issues says that Fiji’s departing President Ratu Josefa Iloilo has effectively been a puppet for the interim regime.
The interim regime has announced Ratu Josefa will retire at the end of next month, and a new president will be appointed by the chief justice upon the recommendation of the Cabinet.

“He was clearly a puppet of the military, he didn’t fulfill his constitutional responsibilities he didn’t uphold the legitimacy of the elected government, he didn’t defend the prime minister, and that I think is a sad legacy.”

Fiji's 88-year-old president retires
SUVA, Fiji July 28 (Xinhua) -- Fiji's President Ratu Josefa Iloilo will retire on Thursday, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama announced on Tuesday.
Bainimarama made the announcement at a press conference after visiting Ratu Josefa at the Government House earlier Tuesday.
Bainimarama told the press conference that Iloilo would be replaced for the time being by Vice President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau after he tendered his resignation effective from July 30.
Bainimarama said Iloilo's decision to step down was a truly significant event, "the symbolic passing of the torch from a statesman who has made a tremendous contribution to the nation and to the lives of all Fijians."
His replacement would be decided by Fiji's Cabinet at a time suitable for the regime. He has been labeled one of the oldest reigning heads of state.
Iloilo was appointed in December 2000 by the Great Council of Chiefs and has served since then except for a brief period from Dec. 5, 2006 to Jan. 4, 2007 when Bainimara held presidential powers.
A teacher by profession, Ratu Josefa was a former vice president of the Methodist Church from 1997 to 1998. He was also a senator in the 1990s.

Commonwealth to take stock on Fiji
New Zealand’s Foreign Minister Murray McCully departs for London on Tuesday night to attend a Commonwealth meeting on Fiji, before going to Australia to attend the Pacific Islands Forum.
Mr McCully says the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group meeting will take stock of developments in Fiji since it last met in March.
He says a clear warning was issued at that time that Fiji would face suspension measures under the Commonwealth’s Millbrook Declaration if it failed to heed calls, made by Pacific Island Forum leaders earlier this year, to make progress towards a return to democracy.
He says its regrettable that the situation in Fiji has deteriorated further since March, contrary to the calls made by Forum leaders and the Commonwealth.
Following the Commonwealth meeting Mr McCully will deliver a speech to the Lowy Institute in Brisbane on the effect of the global economic crisis on the Pacific.
He will then join the New Zealand Prime Minister John Key at the Pacific Islands Forum in Cairns, where the economic crisis, and the importance of effective development assistance are expected to be key topics of discussions.

Stock Exchange ordered by junta to remove FHL suspension
We’ve been reliably told that the South Pacific Stock Exchange in Fiji was ordered by it’s junta to remove FHL’s suspension asap or else they will be victimised.
The order was directed by FHL’s deputy chairman, Colonel Aziz Mohammed, to avoid further embarrasement to FHL’s board.
Questions were also relayed to the SPSE on what queries they raised with FHL on their corporate governance audit report but sources say they have not been able to obtain a response to those questions.
Closer scrutiny of the Stock Exchange public announcement reveal a toothless organisation operating on the whims of its illegal military regime, a warning sign to stock exchange players that Fiji’s South Pacific Stock Exchange is a compromised stock exchange that is also turning out to be Frank & Co’s many zoo.
You think the FHL $190million BP buy-out bull was a blunder?
Ethical commercial beings will bow out graciously from their position of trust when something as big as the FHL $190 million stuff-up happens in their watch.
Not so for Frank’s FHL cronies who have confirmed that they are only there to destroy indigenous Fijians flagship in commerce pushing it to go under.
Which brings us to the conclusion that Fiji’s publicly listed companies like FHL, Fiji’s capital market and stock exchange is nothing but a sham!

Falling out between Pio and Frank?
How can a Permanent Secretary be appointed Commissioner Western? Isn’t that a demotion?
Is he going to have to take a pay-cut? It looks like Pio Tikoduadua has had a fall-out with Frank.
Could it be the result of a disagreement with Adolf Sayed-Khaiyum who is a well-known bully and dictator, just like his boss.

Tuwere, you are wrong!
And so, this round-up comes on the back of a report of a call by an ex-President of the Methodist Church to the Methodist Church to cancel its annual conference.
In the wake of the arrest of those who insist that the meeting will go ahead, Reverend Ilaitia Tuwere is reported on this site to have said that both the Methodist Church and the interim government are to “blame” for the stand-off. “Stand-off”? This kind of “moderate” sharing of the blame, is the perfect recipe to allow the military dictator to continue to do as he wills in over-riding any development that he fears might question his legitimacy.
Where does this ongoing compliance with evil rulers come from? Is it from a certain Christian view that says that politics is really the devil’s business? If so how are we to read the announcement of Jesus: “All authority in heaven and upon earth has been given to me”? Christians attentive to that word which defines their discipleship are hear confronted with a pack of hoodlums, hiding behind the last tattered vestiges of Fijian “honour”, who pretend to be Fiji’s rightful rulers, judges and administrators.
Of course, one always needs to find a just path on which to resist injustice and times an even-handed approach in making judgments is appropriate. But does this form of “even handedness” from Reverend Tuwere promote justice? I can’t see it. On what basis is this “even handed” judgment being put forward?
I would suggest that the esteemed Reverend Tuwere needs to ask himself whether he is simply saying that politics is dirty by definition. To counter that I wish to say that it is not politics which is dirty – politics is a God-given calling to do justice to the neighbour whom we are called to love. What is dirty is human sin, human rebellion and in this instance – that is with a pack of hoodlums violating the basic rules on which they have relied to attain the positions of power that they still cling onto – we cannot ignore these violations by trying to spread the blame in some even-handed way saying “both sides of to blame”.
I’m not calling for an armed uprising. But I am dismayed when I hear such “even-handed” appeals which sound like a retreat from a basic Christian resistance to blatant injustice.
I might be reading the comments in the wrong way, and I might also have failed to understand their context. But, those Christians who are tempted to take such an “even-handed” approach should reflect upon this:
If life in this world is so sinful that when it comes to injustice in “politics” we will say “Well we are all sinful aren’t we and that’s politics isn’t it?” So then if we say that for politics, why don’t we say the same thing about abusive parents who treat their children like animals. Or why do we not say he same thing about a sex-offender in the church who violates a trust by exploiting a young person? Or why do we condemn business fraud? Shouldn’t we therefore be saying, “Well we’re all sinners and what do you expect in this life. Sin happens. What can we do about it?” In other words why should sin be given special consideration in political life and not in our families, our churches, our businesses and buying and selling?
But Reverend Tuwere we don’t. We say, “No! These actions ought not to be.” And we find ways to back our statements with our actions.
There is a problem here and Reverend Tuwere seems to assume that the only uprising that the Methodists in Fiji are now called upon to resist is the one that might happen in the future. How does the good Reverend suggest that his people should dissent from and resist the uprising that is currently under way by the RFMF and its collaborators? What about the impositions of the previous uprisings – that is the military coup of December 5th 2006 plus that which occurred with Good Friday’s revocation?
May the Spirit Jesus grant us wisdom to know the path of love by which we can truly serve all our neighbours.

Frank & Co. playing deadly chess game to prolong regime collapse
The pressure is definitely…. ON!
Frank & Co. are now tripping on their own bluff.
The Methodist Church is not backing off from their planned late August annual conference.
Just ask the Methodist gang in Fiji and they will tell you that special announcements were made last Sunday re-confirming that despite the spate of arrests targeted at the Methodist clergymen and their think-tank, Methodist congregations across Fiji are still reminded that their August conference is still …….ON!!! Yeah!!!!!
Frank & Co. even went further to detain Burebasaga confederacy and Rewa high chief, Ro Teimumu Kepa last week fueling peoples anger on the indispeakable cowardly act Frank & Co. continue to inflict on their residents who dare defy their rule by bluff.
Now the real deal is beginning to lurk out of the dark onto the brightly lit stage.
And guess who is the main actor? Yeah…that useless unethical good-for-nothing Epeli Nailatikau who has finally been shoved onto the spotlight by Frank for the position he’s always dreamt of – to be Fiji’s illegal Pressie!
And his useless cold-hearted conniving wife, Koila Mara, is propping him on to take the job so she could realise her own treasonous dream of being first-lady.
Half-dead Iloilo is now taking his shaky fairy step walks to his grave after been nicely wham-bam-thank-you-mate by tyrant Frank and his think-tank led by Aiyaz Khaiyum.
Iloilo’s used-by-date has finally arrived – thank you very much!
And with him goes his so-called attempt to abrogate the 1997 Fiji Constitution.
We predict some very nasty things will happen to some people in Fiji this coming month of August.
Frank senses it and he is already making his chess move.
But unfortunately for him, he and his power-hungry usurpers will be check-mate!

Police officers detained for arm possession
We bet yah!
It’s definitely ON veovles!
Latest from Fiji is that 3 senior police officers are under arrest for “accusations” that they are in possession of unaccounted for guns.
Who dobbed them in?
Some of their own who think Teleni will promote them with their “possession of fire-arms” flimsy accusations.
We say – it can’t be that flimsy to justify detainment, aye!

Bye bye Iloilo, hello Nailatikau, Talemo & Ganilau
Word is that cassanova Epeli Nailatikau will be sworn in as Fiji’s next illegitimate Pressie.
And serving as his vice will be devious Talemo, an opportunist farmer from Taveuni, and one-time lover of NCBBF rag queen, Finau Tabakaucoro, who is working along side Inoke Kubuabola and Epeli Ganilau to weaken Tui Cakau, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu’s chiefly position.
And guess what?
There are even talks that Frank may “step aside” and appoint Epeli Ganilau as his illegal PM just to satisfy the increasing pressure within Fiji and from the international community before the Methodist Church conference, the Pacific Forum meeting in Cairns and the Commonwealth meeting commences in the next few days.
Interesting developments indeed happening in coup coup land.

Methodist think-tank rounded up
Fiji sources are now reporting that the Methodist Church think-tank comprising of some ousted SDL/FLP multi-party parliamentarians have been rounded up under the instruction of Police Commish Teleni.
This is the same Teleni who is organising a church conference in Labasa tomorrow “to get to know the Methodist Church pastors better”.
And these sources have also confirmed that a permit was given by Teleni to himself for the Labasa conference contradicting his stance in denying the Methodist Church a permit to hold their own late August annual conference.

Mark Manning challenges Frank
By taking on any Religious Faith, be it catholic, Methodist, Hinduism or Islam, Frank has opened a can of worms and won’t be able to put the lid back on now!Effectively, by this act of stupidity and defiance against the Methodist Congregation, he has taken a stand against all Religions, therefore, all the citizens of Fiji.Frank has gained absolutely nothing from this action. As for the SBS interview, I was disappointed that the reporter didn’t confront and challenge Frank as to the real reasons behind his actions of December the 5th. 2006.Why wasn’t Frank challenged about the investigation by Andrew Hughes, the then Fijian Police Commissioner, regarding his alleged involvement in the murders of 5 C.R.W. Soldiers in 2000, one of whom, wasn’t even on duty during the killing of other soldiers at the camp ?REST IN PEACE :- murdered by fellow Soldiers,Selesitano KalounivaleJone DavuiEpineri BainimoliLagani RokowaqaIowane WaseromaAnd why wasn’t Frank challenged about the murders of at least 4 unarmed Fijian civilians since December the 5th. 2006 ?
REST IN PEACE :- murdered by Soldiers,Nimilote VerebasagaSakiusa
RabakaREST IN PEACE :- murdered by Police,Tevita MalasebeJosefa Baleiloa
Why again, wasn’t Frank challenged by the reporter, that all these atrocities and crimes against Humanity, happened while he was in Command, since 2000 ?And finally, why wasn’t Frank challenged about the illegal detentions, tortures and assaults at the Military Base, against unarmed, innocent, male and female Fijian citizens, again under his command ?

The disloyal, spineless, coward Epeli Mataitini
The Vunivalu Epeli Mataitini’s childish claims the Church has been playing politics with the Vanua of Rewa is a lot of crap. Ro Temumu knew what she was doing when signing that Open Letter. She signed this Open Letter because she believed its contents and she does not recognise Bainimarama’s illegal claim to rule. He is the one who raped Fiji of democracy and whom Epeli Mataitini is kowtowing to because he’s paying his bills.
How can Epeli Mataitini tell the Vanua of Rewa and the Matanitu of Burebasaga to follow Bainimarama’s orders, when the majority of right thinking Rewans and Burebasagans do not recognise Bainimarama’s illegal reign!
It is sad to see the Roko Tui Dreketi’s Vunivalu run away in fear, when the Marama Bale na Roko Tui Dreketi shows moral courage by standing up to the Military goons and standing up for truth and justice!
The people of Rewa should look for a more suitable Vunivalu because Epeli Mataitini has just proved how unworthy he truly is and how low he is willing to go, even to the extent to betray (liu muri) and sell off his own Paramount Chief and then have the cheek to try to deflect the blame to the Methodist Church.
Epeli Mataitini knew the Police would come for the Marama Bale na Roko Tui Dreketi and he gave them his blessing and advised them to come under the cover of darkness, hoping to hide his tracks, but it reeks of him.
SWM Management Board urges the people of Rewa and Burebasaga to stand by your Marama Bale na Roko Tui Dreketi during this turbulent time and get rid of your spineless, worthless, traitor Vunivalu, Epeli Mataitini.

Qarase and Chaudhry’s roadmap to 2010 election
Who said Qarase and Chaudhry can’t work together?
Latest from Fiji is that the pair have sent a co-signed submission to the Pacific Forum, the Commonwealth and the United Nations on a roadmap to a democratic election in August 2010.
The Qarase/Chaudhry roadmap is in itself a major breakthrough in Fiji’s political sphere.
Finally, the two men have pushed their differences aside and are now working together for what they owe to their electorates who voted them into 63 seats out of the 71 Fiji parliamentray seats or 89% mandate of the people of Fiji.
And we say, kudos to Qarase and Chaudhry!
We think it is very healthy indeed for the two to give in their last bit of political will to the people who entrusted them with their votes by saving them from the clutches of Fiji’s usurper, Frank Bainimarama and his merry men.
We can confirm that Qarase and Chaudhry are resolute in their desire to push Fiji back to democracy in August 2010.
We think they need all the backing of the Fiji peoples and friends to achieve that.

The silence is deafening!
The silence from the Indian Community these days is deafening !Are there elements in the Indian and Moslem community who are just waiting for Frank and Co. to dismantle the last of indigenous Fijian culture and will they, at that point, move in and take over the land ?
I saw Frank’s broadcast tonight on SBS, Dateline, it wasn’t a very convincing telecast at all, quite boring and dull, full of smirks and childish quibs, as is usual.

Overcome fear Fiji peoples!
The Hebrew children were overcome with fear. They heard reports of giant-sized enemies with cities walled up to heaven and they were terrified. They whimpered and whined and wanted to go back to Egypt. Somehow they forgot that they were serving a miracle-working God, the same God who had just drowned Pharaoh’s whole army in the sea. In Hebrews 3:19, we have this sad commentary concerning Israel: “So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.”
When we express fear before our enemies they sense it immediately. The enemy is like a mean dog. As long as we walk toward that dog with confidence he will grudgingly move out of our path and slink away. But God help us if we show fear and begin to retreat. That same dog will eat us up.David was a man of great spiritual strength and holy boldness. However, on one occasion, fear got hold of him. He wrote a description of this episode for us in Psalm 55:4-5: “My heart is in anguish within me; the terrors of death assail me. Fear and trembling have beset me; horror has overwhelmed me.” How did the great David get into such a state? He gives us the answer in the second and third verse of this Psalm: “…My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught at the voice of the enemy…” David had been listening to the voice of the enemy and it almost destroyed him. When we realize who our heavenly Father is, and how much he loves and cares for us, we cannot go on fearing. The Bible says in 1 John 4:18: “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”

Rut at Telecom Fiji!
Frank Bainimarama’s military regime is synonymous to unemployment, poverty and insecurity.
More Fiji peoples than ever before have been laid off work since Frank & Co usurped power in 2006.
Telecom Fiji’s 200 staff is the latest inclusion in that unemployment list with their staff union negotiation rights with TFL completely stripped off from these helpless 200 staff.
But as these TFL staff are forced to go home, executive staff and their cronies continue on with their cushy jobs dictating terms from their own TFL kingdom in a manner that mirrors the corrupt and devious work ethics championed by Frank Bainimarama’s illegal regime.
We will soon be exposing some of this rut at Telecom Fiji with names of executives and staff linked to these corrupt practices which warrants a thorough investigation by FICAC.
Stay tuned!

FHL NOT getting its non-refundable deposit as claimed by Sereana Qoro
FHL military appointed CEO, the incompetent, deceitful Sereana Qoro, has proven to be a mother of lies.
Her contagious lies have infiltrated the whole of FHL, BP South West Pacific, FHL public shareholders, Frank’s regime that trusted her incompetency, the South Pacific Stock Exchange and Fiji’s Capital Market Development Authority.
In her latest statement, she has claimed that FHL has pulled out of the BP SWP acquisition deal – a devious lie that is way off the truth.
The truth is this – BP SWP could no longer accept FHL’s requests to extend their settlement date without paying further penalties, or in this case, more non-refundable deposit at $5million per extension request. BP also arrived at the conclusion that FHL could not raise the required funds to buy them out. In other words, BP told FHL, “enough is enough”.
Now, the most disturbing element of Sereana Qoro’s stock exchange statement, which even the FHL board members claim was prepared and sent to the Stock Exchange without their approval, is the claim by her that BP SWP will refund 100% of the deposit paid amounting to more than $25million.
This lady is obvioulsy in lah lah land and is making up fairy tale stories to suit her mismanagement behavior!
No right thinking entity, and a globally established one like BP Oil, will ever want to enter into a sale and purchase agreement so loose with no penalty clause to protect it from fly-by-night buyers like Sereana Qoro and her doomed FHL.
A good 7 months have passed since December 2008 when FHL and BP signed their S&P Agreement. FHL was given 90 days to show the color of their money but now, we’ve learnt it was other peoples money they were betting on which funders were reluctant to lend because of FHL’s board and management very low credibility rating.
Anyway, BP had foregone the opportunity to close the deal with a more financially able second bidder in Total, who placed a bid of $110million compared to the $190million by FHL.
This is big bucks we talking about and the question we wanna raise with Qoro is, who will pay BP for the opportunity cost foregone caused by FHL’s stuff up?
There is a cost to everything and stupid mistakes are usually the most costly ones.
Surely, it’s not gonna be BP ……. but FHL for their buy-out bluff.
So who’se lying?
Sereana Qoro …. again!
Someone has to pay the price for this big blunder and Sereana Qoro is the likeliest candidate!

James Dutta kicked out by his Courts Home Centre board
The Courts Home Centre sales boy and CEO, James Dutta, is no longer the face of Courts.
The guy who loves to hear his own voice and see his own face on TV ads is now history.
Word is that he was kicked out by his gujarati Courts owners for non-performance coupled with his many hot air marketing tactics that was not reaping returns.
Dutta was to have left Courts months ago but he threatened its board by quoting that he had good links to the military who will ensure the demise of their Courts business if they let him go.
The board gave Dutta more time but decided to pull the plug on him after the military regime kicked him out from the FNPF board, ATH board and other regime appointed boards he once held.
Now that Dutta has lost his $750,000 per annum Courts Home Centre job plus the many “sitting” allowances from FNPF and others, sources say he has returned to his adopted country Australia to get away from it all.

Qarase ‘would win’ race-based election: PM
Bainimarama’s stupidity is truly legendary. His advisors must cringe each time he opens his mouth because of the crap he spews forth. He admits to the Canadian Press, if General Elections were held in Fiji today, Qarase would win under the current electoral system.
First of all boci, there is no current electoral system in Fiji because it was abrogated together with the Constitution, dah! Secondly, your claim the 1997 Constitution is racist simply cannot be substantiated.
SWM asks Bainimarama, didn’t Mahendra Pal Chaudary win the General Elections on the same Constitution in 1999? Why & how did the 1997 Constitution become racist after Qarase wins in 2006, when the same was declared democratic when Chaudray won in 1999? Isn’t this selective amnesia discriminatory?
So much for brain dead Josefa Iloilo’s abrogation of the 1997 Constitution. Ko sa bera vakalevu!
Qarase was the 1st Prime Minister to genuinely allocate substantial Cabinet portfolios to his Opposition and not even Chaudary was able to extend the same curtsey to SVT after winning the General Elections in 1999!
The fact is, Qarase will win hands down in any General Elections called in Fiji today not because of the 1997 Constitution, but because of who he is. He will win against any Mara children who stands against him in Lau.
The SWM Management Board would like to openly challenge Ateca, Koila & Ului to oppose Qarase in the next General Elections in Lau, if they want to truly find out where the true loyalty of the Launs lie!
He may have pushed certain policies which some sectors of the Electorate may have disliked, but Chaudary also did this with his Land Use Commission. The bottom line is that it was his right because he had the mandate rule and if you didn’t like it, then wait for the next General Elections.
SWM Management Board finds it strangely odd, Bainimarama and all his coup supporters make these unsubstantiated racial claims about the 1997 Constitution, yet none has the courage to take it before the UN Anti Discrimination Commission to corroborate their claim.
They make these inciteful racial claims and impute Qarase was responsible for the 1997 Constitution, yet it was both Houses Parliament (SVT, GVP, NFP & FLP), who endorsed the amendments to the 1990 Constitution as recommended by the Reeves Commission with no dissenters!
The bottom line is Qarase is still more popular than Chaudary, the Mara children, both Eveli Ganilau and Nailatikau plus Bainimarama and his Military Council and they simply cannot accept this fact.
What they fail to realise, is that Qarase really is their only hope because he can still forgive them. It is those behind him they should greatly fear, because they aren’t as forgiving and it is these men and women, who will be their judge and jury in time and it is nigh!
Fiji’s Prime Minister says the man he deposed in the 2006 coup would win if an election were held tomorrow under the current electoral system, reports the Canadian Press.
The CP refers to a television interview to be screened by Australian public broadcaster SBS where Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama is reported to have said that Laisenia Qarase “would win it” if Fiji were to quickly call elections.
Bainimarama has announced a roadmap that includes a new constitution, before elections in 2014, that eliminates race-based politics.
According to the “Dateline” interview, Bainimarama said: “I want Qarase and his politics to be irrelevant – I want him out”.
“We’re trying to change the mindset of the people from racial issues that developed in the last 10 years to what we want to take Fiji to – equal suffrage,” Bainimarama said.

Queen mulls Fijian whale teeth ‘legality’
oggers, it seems to me even Her Majesty Queen Elisabeth II during the 60th Year Celebrations of the Commonwealth couldn’t restrain herself from taking a swipe at Bainimarama and his illegal government.
This Fijilive article states Her Majesty questioning whether these tabuas should have been displayed in the first place, then adds, “only they’re illegal now. (Interpretation: The tabua being the most venerated cultural artifact amongst Fijians & Fiji having been ejected from the Commonwealth, why should it have anything on display at the Commonwealth Celebrations because of its current suspension and illegal status).
Director Sir Hugh Roberts, replies “well, I suppose Ma’am, luckily they were given to you long enough ago for that not to be, I think, too much of an issue.” (Interpretation: The tabuas were legally given to her Majesty by the real chiefs of Fiji and legal representatives of its elected government.)
Her Majesty ends by saying she hopes not because it would be awful if someone claimed it back. (Interpretation: The illegal junta wanting to claim what lawfully belongs to an elected government and making a complete arse of themselves)
SWM Management Board, wishes to say vinaka vaka levu Your Majesty and keep up the pressure against these imbeciles.

Three whale teeth fashioned into necklaces and on display at a public exhibition in London had Queen Elizabeth II worried whether they were “illegal” and would have to go back to Fiji.
AFP reported the whale teeth were part of a public exhibition opening Monday at the Queen’s Buckingham Palace official residence in London, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Commonwealth.
The exhibition not only displays gifts from around the world, including dazzling jewelry and ethnic craftwork, but also shows off dresses and gowns worn by Queen Elizabeth during her Commonwealth tours since she inherited the throne in 1952.
During her preview tour yesterday, the 83-year-old sovereign questioned whether the sperm whale teeth should be on display, saying “only they’re illegal now.”
Sir Hugh Roberts, director of the Royal Collection, replied: “Well, I suppose Ma’am, luckily they were given to you long enough ago for that not to be, I think, too much of an issue.”
Laughing, the queen said: “I hope not, it would be awful if somebody comes round and says you’ve got to return them.”
Born out of the British empire, the Commonwealth of Nations brings together around a third of the world’s countries and a quarter of the world’s population.
The modern Commonwealth was formed in 1949 when eight countries — Australia, Britain, Canada, Ceylon, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa — signed the Declaration of London after a six-day conference.
Britain’s environment ministry later eased the queen’s fears by saying that “historic” sperm whale teeth did not need a Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species Licence if they were simply on display.
The opening of the state rooms at Buckingham Palace runs to September 30.

So, what are you going to do about it ragone?
The recent internment of the Marama Bale na Roko Tui Dreketi, Ro Temumu Kepa and the Methodist Church Leadership by the illegal junta proves the illegal junta are a law unto themselves.
The manner, in which they carried out the internment under the cover of darkness, portrays their fear and cowardice like a thief in the night.
Bainimarama, Driti, Mara and the Military Council with all their sabre rattling, shrivelled up in fear when confronted by Ro Temumu Kepa and the Methodist Church.
This is the mark of a traitor and coward fighting to survive.
When PM Qarase came to Australia earlier this year; he was invited to speak at several venues including Brisbane and Sydney. Bainimarama back in Fiji screamed out Qarase was insignificant and not a threat to his illegal government.
Yet, only this week, FICAC tells the kangaroo court before opportunist, wannabe Judge Gounder, Qarase was a threat to national security, therefore he should not be allowed to travel overseas, which this unscrupulous Judge accepted.
Bainimarama’s claim for people to follow his way or the highway smacks of hypocrisy. How dare he tell people in Fiji ‘if somebody breaks the law, the Police will take them in for questioning’ when he himself committed one of Fiji capital offences of treason and at the moment mistakenly seems to be getting away!
I challenge the Judges, Magistrate’s and Lawyers, in Fiji, why continue pretending you are working towards restoring the rule of law in Fiji, when you are being used by the illegal junta to further their rule! How can you continue pretending to be working under certain laws, which were passed by an elected Parliament, under an illegal junta who recently committed treason and destroyed its very core?
To the people of Fiji, I ask how long can you continue to sit back and accept the crap Bainimarama, Leweni, Mara, Driti and the Military Council are saying against civilians who stand up for their rights!
Why should you be following the dictates of a dictator? Bainimarama and his illegal junta survive because you allow them to by foolishly thinking you are only doing your job so you can put bread on your table. This reasoning is flawed, just as following an illegal order is flawed.
Bainimarama usurped legal power from elected PM Qarase in December 2006 and when the Fiji of Appeal ruled against him in April this year, he connived incompetent Josefa Iloilo to abrogate the 1997 Constitution and reappoint him back as his illegal PM.
I would like to make it very clear: there is nothing to legally justify Bainimarama’s rule!!! His government was illegal from its inception and continues to be illegal today, therefore all his orders, decrees, PER, etc should be resisted and disobeyed.
How much longer will you allow Bainimarama and his illegal junta to dictate to you before you decide to act?
Do you honestly believe if you don’t rise up against him now, you will have a better chance in the future? Stop kidding yourself people and stand up to the usurper!
So, what are you going to do about it?
Remember, God only helps those who help themselves.
