How long has Lau been without a Tui Nayau?

Voreqe's inclusiveness always has a hitch: "Except those who disagree with me". After all, they might speak out against me and then how would we get consensus?

You see, Frank, consensus does not work in the modern world, particularly with a multicultural and multi-vanua nation, and the solution is not to get out your guns and conquer all. The solution is an election, and the minority have their say, but in the end have to compromise or give way. How long has Fiji been without a Vunivalu? How long has Lau been without a Tui Nayau? You see consensus does not work in modern society where you have educated and independent minds.
Election and parliamentary voting works to resolve these differences, as long as you don't have uneducated goons with guns to overthrow whatever decision is made. In the end, if the chiefly system is to survive, it will also have to be governed by an election. Without the GCC, no President can be elected. Without Parliament and an election, no laws can be elected and no Prime Minister can be elected and Fiji is doomed to be run by anyone who dares abuse the power of the military, regardless of what they know or do not know about nation building.
